Quibbleism: "the act of beating around the bush"

I just read a post on Claire's blog in which she showed off the words she had adopted from savethewords.org. The idea is to adopt an obsolete word and use it as much as possible to prevent it from becoming extinct. As a word-lover, I think this is FANTASTIC. (It is also sort of ironic, since Writers' Theatre's spring murder mystery is set in the dictionary with words as characters who are murdered and can no longer be used.) I adopted the word quibbleism. I adore the way it sounds. It is the act of beating around the bush. I think that's great. I can see myself using this word. "Cease with your quibbleism, and spit it out!" This is so exciting for me.
